The programs at B.E.A.R. are focused on empowering youth and broadening their horizons through mentoring  activities that incorporate the benefits of being outdoors. The Bitterroot Venture program has three groups for youth 10-17 years old, who meet regularly throughout the year:
Venture O.U.T., K.O.R.E., and Sk8 Montana. B.E.A.R. also offers site specific outdoor education, teamwork and leadership activities, and field trips for kids of all ages.

The Kids Outdoor Reaching Extremes program is designed for area youth who want to explore a variety of outdoor skills while serving their community and learning from each other.  K.O.R.E. encourages its participants to develop leadership skills, teamwork, and community involvement.

This program is focused on helping youth who are in need of more personal support. Through intensive small group and one-on-one mentoring, the kids are able to move Onward to new possibilities,  Upward beyond  expectations, and Through obstacles ...O.U.T.!

Programs

We have recently added family outreach services, linking families to mentoring activities and community resources. Friends and families are encouraged to participate in monthly dinners, events, peer support groups and more.

Family Outreach Program

SK8 Montana

The SK8 Program is the only traveling skateboarding program of its kind in western Montana. The skaters find skate opportunities locally and travel throughout Montana, visiting different skate parks and learning new tricks. It allows kids to explore their love of the sport in an encouraging and mentoring environment.
